Maria returned to the stage in August 2018, with her husband, John Glaudini at the piano and cohort, Maria Dominique Lopez in “a call to action cabaret” empowering women as a response to the 2016 election. The cabaret was a benefit for newoutlook.org, a non-profit supporting women and children at risk in Orange County. The cast also included their son, Charles Glaudini who played cello/bass, a Musical Technology major/Sound design minor at UCSD.
Maria believes living a creative life is the key to a happy life. She is a self-motivated artist, working on many projects and wearing many hats in the process.
Maria strikes balance between art and commerce through teaching students about the rigor of the craft and encourages them to personally access their authentic truth. “Actors are truth seekers, at least the great ones are. We should always be in pursuit of our own truth.”
Casting CSUF professor Cominis in the title role gives Bernarda Alba a professional quality it might lack with an entirely student cast.Steven Stanley, StagesceneLA
